Scared of a Messy IT Transition? We Handle Everything. Zero Downtime, Guaranteed.
Switch MSPs without disruption. Group 4 Networks handles migration, documentation, and onboarding in 30 days with zero downtime. Call (416) 623-9677.
The switch program is how Group 4 Networks takes over from another provider without a weekend where nobody knows the firewall password. It is a project with a start and an end, and then a normal managed plan if you want one. The office is 18 King Street East, Suite 1400. We have moved GTA firms off other providers since 2008. We do not require you to badmouth the last company to begin.
Before anything changes, we ask for the admin list, the backup location, the domain registrar, the firewall, and the vendors who will not talk to a new firm without a letter. If the outgoing provider is slow, we say so while their contract still has days on it. We do not start by locking them out. We write down what is missing. You should already be an admin on your own tenant and your own domain. If you are not, that is the first fix, and it happens while they are still required to help.
The parallel period is the part that prevents a cliff. For a short stretch both sides can see the environment. We confirm mail flow, the backup job, and the line of business app before the old contract ends. Staff should not learn about the change by being locked out of a shared mailbox on a Monday. We tell them what will look different, which is usually the help desk number and very little else.
Documentation comes to you. Passwords go into a vault you can open, with a second person on your side. Network diagrams are only useful if they match the closet. We draw what we actually find, including the switch nobody mentioned. If a system has no owner, we name one before we call the job done. Leaving should be possible later. A takeover that only we can undo is not a service.
Security cleanup is in the first weeks, not as a separate scare. Admin accounts for people who left, mail rules that forward outside, multi factor authentication that was never turned on. We do the obvious ones and we list the rest. We will not promise the environment is perfect in thirty days if the previous firm left no backups. We will tell you that in the first week, when there is still time to ask them for the copy.
What does it cost to switch, and what is the monthly plan after? They are different numbers. The switch is the labour to get credentials, confirm backups, and move the help desk. The monthly plan is monitoring, the help desk, and the patching you want kept. Critical issues use a 15 minute P1 response target once we are the ones on the hook, including nights and weekends. That target is a first response, not a claim that a van is already outside. Call (416) 623-9677 and we will say what we need from the current provider before we pick a date.
If you are happy where you are, do not switch because a page told you to. If you cannot get the admin password, cannot see the backup, or cannot get a person on the phone when mail is down, those are the reasons. We will still ask what you want to keep. A lot of the tools can stay. The thing that changes is who answers.
