Registered Canadian Charity

How to Apply: The TechSoup Canada Validation Process
Microsoft does not process nonprofit grant applications directly. In Canada, all nonprofit and charity validation is handled through TechSoup Canada (techsoup.ca). Here is the process step by step:
Step 1: Register with TechSoup Canada
Create an organization account at techsoup.ca. You will need your CRA charitable registration number, your organization's legal name exactly as it appears on your CRA registration, your organization's primary address, and a staff contact who can verify the registration.
Step 2: Submit Validation Documents
TechSoup Canada will request documentation to confirm your CRA registration and confirm that your organization meets Microsoft's eligibility criteria. Standard documents include a copy of your CRA registration letter and a description of your primary charitable purpose. TechSoup processes most validations within 5 to 10 business days.
Step 3: Receive Your TechSoup Token
Once validated, TechSoup issues your organization a TechSoup token - a unique identifier that Microsoft recognizes when you apply for nonprofit pricing or grants through the Microsoft nonprofit portal.
Step 4: Apply Through Microsoft's Nonprofit Portal
Visit nonprofit.microsoft.com and sign in or create a Microsoft account for your organization. Enter your TechSoup token when prompted. Microsoft will verify the token against TechSoup's records and approve your organization for nonprofit pricing within 1 to 3 business days in most cases.
Step 5: Assign Your Licenses
