Microsoft Office 365 Downtime Shows Communication Problems

Microsoft (MSFT) has much work to do in order to catch up to competitors in the cloud-based office productivity service space. Microsoft Office 365 offered  prolonged outages earlier this week to its customer base of thousands of people, customers and partners were left uninformed of outages except through a login-only portal.

It’s not impossible to find out about outages. Microsoft does provide status updates using Office 365 Service Health Dashboard, but it’s only accessible to partners and customers and even then, only to those that log into their accounts and check the dashboard. Meaning that there may be many miscommunications with their partners and customers.

In order to avoid such disasters in the future, companies need to partner with solution providers just like Group 4 Networks. Group 4 Networks has a personal client base that is able to receive attention and assistance at a convenient time.
